Studied really hard for 2 months - read through the entire book, took 4 practice tests, etc.
Expected a 33, prayed for a 34, so he’s not taking it ever again!

PS - You people are the only ones that I can brag to, since around here it’s considered poor form to talk about test scores - so, thank you for listening…
I got wreaked by the science section to it seems. Composite of 30, but a 26 on Science. I know what I’m studying…
absolutely devastated. got a 29 composite (29.25) I really needed a 30 for the schools I am getting recruited for. Thinking about restoring the test. Got killed by the science
Got
33 math
32 reading
28 english
24 science.

30M I didn’t use my time wisely, I had to guess on like five -2
34R I don’t know what happened… -2
33S +6 lol the Dec science section was harder…
All of these are compared to the Dec test. Was hoping to do better. This was my second test.

Not at all! 34 is usually the 75th percentile for elite schools. You don’t have to retake it, but if you truly feel like taking it again, go right ahead…I got a similar score to you and I’ll retake it. @destined4harvard
that’s a crazy good score for an 8th grader! I got a 24 in 7th grade, and now 4 years later, I have a 35. Just keep working…you have lots of time @kidwithadream202
Is it any possible that the ACT messed the score up with the other student?
Still only registered…
Guess you’ll have to wait till next week unfortunately. Keep checking daily though @somemomma

Idk how science went so low. All I wanted to do was increase math and not drop in the other sections but I increased math by 1 and dropped in every other section. I hate the ACT!!!
Science can be changed alot because its very rigid on the scale. For example, if you miss 0, you get a 36, if you miss 1, you get a 34, and if you miss 2, you get a 32. It’s the toughest scored test on the ACT @jshu11
@masalvada123 can you please please discuss your study habits, especially those for science and reading
Does anyone have a good prediction for the curve?
@kimkal10 Over the summer I studied some strategies in a book called cracking the act and then over the course of the year I just devoured practice test upon practice test(must have taken at least 20). Honestly those 2 were my weaker sections but I felt really confident this time around. For reading I spent 4 min reading each passage and 4 min answering questions so then I would have 3 min as a buffer to check my answers. Really it’s all about taking lots of practice tests to understand the tendencies and patterns of the test.

I haven’t really done any prep…I’m taking again in June after taking a class. Really have to work on math and science!
@mkumar17 wow I had no idea the science curve was so crazy!! This makes me feel a lot better about my 27 subscore lol…maybe I didn’t get a solid 9 questions wrong hahaha
Also, has anyone heard about prep scholar??
I’m freaking out about my dismal composite score rn and I ran into their ACT prep website.
Apparently they have a guarantee where if you don’t increase by at least 4 points in your composite, you get all your money back. I have a 32, so I guess the plan is literally promising me a 36 or a free prep course.
Has anyone tried it?? Does it work? It looks pretty reliable but you can never be sure…
