@busyBBee It changed to Tested before the first release. I only checked it on the 16th and it was already changed.
Perhaps they didn’t release this batch yet since nobody posted their scores
Writing scores for my D are poor at 23, surprising when she scored 35 on E and R both. Thinking if I should get this reevaluated at cost. Pros & cons anyone?
Depends on how she feels she did on the writing @OHToCollege. Does she feel like she did a good job? If so, I’d do it- its a $50 charge, but they will refund the money if the score goes up and will not penalize you if the rescore goes down (and will not change the score if it goes down). There are other threads talking about how the writing section has changed on the ACT and there are a lot of bad scores out there -that were rescored higher.
My son also got a 35, but he feels like his essay was awful. So, we’d be happy with a 23 and not ask for a rescore. No scores yet, though.,.
OHToCollege - When you look at the concordance tables for the new writing scores, the 23 equates to an 8 on the older version of the writing section. An 8 was a very, very common score and not really considered that low. I agree that it is a bit of a shock when you first see the score but I think a 23 will be a pretty common score and it is still in the 83rd percentile.
She does feel like she didn’t do well, however, I know her to be an exceptionally strong writer. If the concordance shows she merely did 83%ile, I will be surprised. Her composite is at 34, good enough to go to college, so I am leaning towards getting it rescored. Do you all know if there is a time limit by which this needs to happen and when the 4 free scores are sent to colleges she has already picked?
Didn’t expect writing scores so quickly. D received a 33 composite and a 30 in writing. First time taking the writing portion, so I think she’ll be happy with that.
@Violinviolamom Were the curves worse or better than you had expected?

Congrats @fairagoura!! By any chance, do you know when your status changed from registered to tested? Or do you know when your scores came online? Trying to see when the friday batch was released or if it was at all…
@sunspair I checked this morning around 8:00 AM (i’m in CA) and it was still registered. It’s 10 AM now, and I just checked for the heck of it.
Yeah @fairagoura great job. Did your scores just become available a couple minutes ago?
@elystuart10 they came available in the last hour and a half, of that I am sure. And I was bummed that I’d have to wait til Wednesday lol. Perhaps they post them throughout the day.
A NOTE TO FUTURE ACT’ers: the released 2015-2016 act booklet with a practice test is very accurate! I took the practice 1 week before the real thing and got THE EXACT SAME SCORE. So take that practice test when you feel ready to approximate your score!
