Fee waiver request letter

My councelor and I have no idea about how to write a fee waiver request. I must have it signed by tomorrow so would appreciate any advice. This is what I have:

Dear Officer of Admissions of Cucumber University,

Given my knowledge of this student’s financial situation and pertinent documentation provided by him, I am in conditions to certify that paying the admission fee would lead to an economic hardship for his family. The amount of the fee is equivalent to roughly 33% of his custodial parent’s monthly income as a teacher.

Sincerely,

Mr. Bean, Preceptor, Rhubarb School

would be nice if you could mention your country's per capita income( if you belong to a poor country). But otherwise it would be fine because all they need is a GC approved letter.

You might also mention the no. of dependants in your family. I don't think the per capita income is really required, after all what purpose would it serve? If you want to mention income figures just give your family's approximate income in US dollars.

For other people worried about fee waivers, here is another sample: "admissions.cornell.edu/apply/firstyear/NACACFeeWaiverForm.pdf"
