Ok, so I go to High school in Florida at probably the top public school in the state(spanish river high school), I currently have I 3.2 GPA (weighted) 90th percentile on the SAT's(taking my second one in April) with 4 Ap's to my name and almost all honors classes, freshman year I basically breezed by and at it's conclusion I had a 3.73 GPA,but sophmore year and The first semester of this year were a different story ,much of this has been due to family complications and distractions ,my grades are improving but I'm wondering if it's too little too late, also I have a pretty substantial list of Extra Curriculars including : being a 3 year graduate of the gilder lehrman history academy and being a 2008 National history day Finalist for the state of Florida(catagory: Video). so anyways let me know what you think of my chances for getting in to the following colleges:

my fault for the lack of effort on that list; SAT score -1980 ,aiming for a 2100 in April . As far as AP exams : AP Human Geography-5,Ap world History-4 Ap Enviromental Science-4,AP US History-4

which I’ve come to terms with ,Texas is my first choice ,but out of state is highly competitive, quick question regarding Northeastern how is their acceptance rate only a 35 %?

sorry don’t know but paying full price you probably have a good shot.
but why did you choose these schools, large schools a long ways away, I don’t see how they are connected. Some are in the city some rural etc

some I’ve visited and was just blown away by the campus and surrounding atmosphere- Rutgers,BU,Texas(also have a good friend that goes there currently),and Wisconsin.

the others are mostly random reasons that aren’t completely related EX- Northeastern because of it’s work-study program and location.GT- great school, big city, not too far away from home, and Uconn and PSU for their Pharmacy and Biotechnology programs.

a 3.2 weighted doesn’t get you in at PSU. This student would actually be well advised to include a few lower level schools in his portfolio. if that GPA declines he may not get into any of these schools.
