My daughter matched the common app to Naviance successfully, and waived her FERPA rights on the common app. Then she successfully invited her teachers to send letters of rec- this was done through Naviance. On the common app it shows that FERPA was completed, but it still has " incomplete" next to the " ferpa / recommenders" section and won't let her submit ( pay) because it claims she still has to assign recommenders. It is not " understanding" that she assigned them through Naviance ( which was synced). She and I are both waiting for a response from guidance. In the meantime I emailed common app and they are looking into this for me. Anybody else experience this?

I have this exact same problem! I don’t know what’s going on. My teachers have already posted and submitted their requirements for the recommenders portion, yet it still says “Started” instead of “Complete”.

OMG you’re scaring me. Our high school just started Naviance this year and the teachers have not been trained on it yet. I will bookmark this so I can learn. You’re smart not to wait til the last day to be submitting!

It turns out that the HS was added wrong. It should have been added from the drop down menu instead of being typed in. Adding it from the drop down menu makes the common app know it’s a Naviance school. I deleted the school name and chose it off the menu and the problem was solved.
