Few questions about UCD

I have some questions about UCD.

Is it easy to graduate in 4 years? I hope the stats. are misleading

Is it hard to double major in political science and economics?

Does major of choice affect admissions?

Part of UCD admission criteria is if you are a 1st generation university student. How would they determine if your parent got some education at a JC instead of a university?

Thanks in advance…

major choice does affect admission

I haven't looked at the UC app yet but I assume that it is like other schools where there is a pull down menu related to parent's college experience and "some college" is a choice

so let's say I apply as chemical engineering and i don't get in as that would they admit me as undeclared or reject me because of my major????

You get 2 major choices for UCD. I don't recommend choosing your two choices in the College of Engineering (because it's probably going to be just as competitive.. doesn't help you out). Pick one in engineering, and then an alternate one in College of L&S/BioSci/Agriculture.

yeah some majors are harder to get into than others =(

Would they outright reject me if i don't get into those 2 majors?

should i just apply undeclared?
