Fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I am the biggest idiot. I submitted my NYU supplement and fee before the deadline, but I forgot to hit "submit" on my common application. What happened was that I tried to do it earlier, but found that I needed to pay the fee first. I then proceeded to send my other applications, and pay all the other fees.

I finally realized the problem and submitted the application at 12:17 PST (3:17EST), January 2 (NYU deadline is January 1)

I've e-mailed both the CA and NYU admissions, but I am freaking out. I know this is completely my fault.

I swear I have short-term memory loss

If the application went through, then you are fine. CA gives you a grace period after the deadline. You will see that quite a lot of people have missed the deadline by a few minutes, hours or even a day.

I personally wouldn’t have emailed. That just draws attention to your mistake. I bet they didn’t even know that your submission was late before you pointed that out.

It’s not the Common Application that gives you the grace period. It’s the college that determines it.
