Can someone tell me more bout these ? Are they recommended or a waste of time?

The one I took was reaaaally dry (history of European Union, and I'm really interested in the subject). Others have loved their seminars (for instance anything w/ Theo Ruiz). I am trying to take the Antarctica one as a second year, haha, because it sounds really interesting in me. I would say go for it, drop it if it's really boring. I mean it's P/F so what do you have to lose?

yah. one unit, pretty much attendance based, so you fail if you skip three. which i did and i failed :(
but i still enjoyed it (education 19)
it's only worth it if you like it. so try it and then if you hate it, drop it, otherwise it'll be the easiest unit you'll ever take. and it's a nice, low-cost way to stick electives into your study list!

someone said that grad schools look at the fiat lux as a C if you pass.is this true? and will it hurt my admissions?

who cares if it counts as a C..? it is ONE UNIT. you will have probably 200+ units when you graduate.
