I have a question about filling out the Activities section of CommonApp. Next year, I’m going to be the head of two clubs, However, my high school tends to elect three people to be heads for each club. Therefore, I’m technically going to be tri-head. When the CommonApp asks for my leadership positions in these roles, should I write “Tri-head” or just “Head”? I feel like writing “tri-head” makes me sound like an idiot, especially because I go to a small private school. I don’t want admissions officers thinking that basically anyone can be the head of anything, and therefore not take my leadership in those clubs seriously. But I’m concerned that if I put “Head” and one of my fellow club heads applies to the same school as me and also writes “head”, there could be a problem. What do I do?
You’re a co-leader. That means with one or more others. Do use the term. Adcoms will get it. Lots of hs encourage teaming, rather than just one lead.
I would use the term “Co-President” or something. Phonetically it sounds better than “head” and allows you to demonstrate that you are sharing the role with other people.
