fin aid package/chances..AGAIN

i currently attend michigan state university(which im not a huge fan of)
but im seriously considering transferring to NYU.
im a business major, and my GPA is a 3.7592 at MSU.
my high school GPA was fairly low..an average 3.3.
what are my chances of getting into stern? i had a fairly standard/rigorous schedule my first year at MSU, and another rigorous year set up for my sophomore year at MSU.

onto finaid..i currently only pay around 12,000 (inlcuding housing) a year at MSU. im wondering how so many people can afford to attend NYU. what is everyones finaid package like? how much do you guys pay for tuition(including housing). i'm from a decently upper middle class family but for my sophomore year i managed to get 5000 dollars worth of finaid(no loans, just grants and other stuff i dont have to pay back) from the fafsa( and another 1500 from an outside scholarship)

sorry about the essay long post, but hope someone will be answer some questions. thanks

Your GPA can definitely be a big boost for you, since you're applying as a junior transfer. But I'm sorry to say that transfer competition to Stern is fierce, and can really boil down to a crapshoot. I was fortunate enough to be given enough merit scholarships to keep my loans relatively low, and even then I hunted around for those that are interest-free (part of my tuition pay plan). So I'm looking at roughly 10,000 a year at CAS. Tuition, I believe, is roughly 30,000 but housing can become really cheap if you try to get into low cost dorms (about 6,000 or so per year).

thanks for the info.
yeah i know how competitive stern is to get into, but i might as well try.
considering transferring to umich(which is a much higher possibility) and attend grad school at nyu(which i heard was even harder to get into that undergrad?)

whats wrong with MSU I am applying ther this year.

nyu has the worst financial aid. You just have to take out alot of loans
