There aren't very many details about need based financial aid or "bursaries" as McGill calls them. I would be an international student coming from a family earning just shy of $60k per year. Does anyone have any knowledge of how much of the $25k cost of attendance fin-aid would take out? Ball parks are fine. I have a 34 ACT score so the McGill site seems to indicate that I will get some sort of a merit scholarship. Thanks.

They drop money around here, like I drop man-hole covers.

It'll come down to your FAFSA EFC, and how badly they want you. I'd suggest you go for the entrance scholarship (major), for the hell of it. They won't give you less aid for trying.

P.S. Being an international student makes the cost of attendance way more than $25k. If you factor in cost of living (or rez), you are looking at AT LEAST $30k/yr (not to mention your tuition+fees are increasing 8%/yr).

P.P.S. don't assume a high ACT will guarantee you a merit scholarship.

Thanks. I'll assume nothing. Any idea what it takes to obtain a major scholarship from McGill? They are unique in that they seem to outline fairly specifically their requirements but do reserve themselves with "does not guarantee you a scholarship."
