There's less than a week until SATs...i've taken it once before and scored 2070

What do you guys think of my plan?

1) Memorize DH Vol2 and finish memorizing Vol1 (i memorized almost the whole first book)
2) Read over Barron's CR section in Barron's 2400 SAT book (highly recommended by CC)
3) Look over some idioms (i have a list of 100)
4) Go over all missed questions in old BB tests

How should I do final preparations for writing and math? math i scored 750 and missed one, but for writing my essay sucks (i have 8 last time) and I missed about 4-5 on the mc last time...

thanks!!! :)

Dunno bro, here’s what I’m doing:

Go through all BB tests I’ve taken and re-do every single math question

Light review of DH 1

Write an essay every day + research 1 example a day

Finish + light review of silverturtle’s guide

Finish last couple of pages in Grubers + light review of nebulous topics

GO TO SLEEP AT 9 EVERY NIGHT!

I also have a lot of schoolwork to do this week :|

I wish I had the time to have that much prep, but I have tons of homework every night. With the half-hour or so available to me every day, I’ll probably just do either a writing or reading section, as I’m hoping that if I get some sleep Friday night, my math skills will be fine.

Taking the test on Sunday so I have an extra day ;)

^^^ Me too!!! It’s nice having an extra day to relax. I can party on friday night if i want to (but I’ll be responsible and not) :D

wait guys how did you get an extra day? i’m taking it this saturday, but I really wanna have that extra day!

Religious reasons. I (and so must johnny) belong to churches that believe saturday is the sabbath. (the 2 religions i know that do that are judaism and seventh-day adventism). Because of our religious beliefs, we get to take the test on Sunday instead of Saturday. No one can take the test on Sunday without a religious reason.

The only way you can Sunday test is if you have a special letter from your religious cleric. I can hook you up, I know a guy ;)

Kidding… but yeah, I’m Jewish. Truth be told, I feel like taking it Saturday is better because you have Sunday to just relax all day since you just went through the whole ordeal that a test is. We, however, have to go to school the next day.

Cool johnny. I thought you might be Jewish, but didn’t want to assume :D

I am of a more obscure religion, tho related to Judaism. I’m Seventh-Day Adventist, so I get to go sunday as well. I can get people hooked up as well lol!

Haha surprisingly I hadn’t heard of Seventh-Day Adventist until my chemistry teacher told us all about it. I don’t know if that makes me an ignorant or if it really is that obscure of a religion haha

It is obscure in my opinion. In certain parts of the country (Maryland, southern california, michigan) it’s better known, but it is less common than alot of other religions.

Sorry if this sounds dumb to some people…but what does “DH” mean? The first two people on this forum posted things about finishing DH volume 1 and 2—so I am assuming it is some sort of book, but what exactly is it? Thanks in advance =)

@annaanna926

It’s a vocab book. “Direct Hits”

[Amazon.com: Direct Hits Toughest Vocabulary of the SAT: Volume 2 (9780981818412): Larry Krieger, Ted Griffith: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Direct-Hits-Toughest-Vocabulary-SAT/dp/0981818412)

Thanks for the clarification @yankeesfanatic! So, is that a book that most people on cc would recommend for the CR section? Even more than Barrons?

Never mind, I just found the answer to my above question by browsing some other threads here. I guess it is recommended above almost everything when it comes to vocab =)
