Does the final report only have final grades or does the guidance counselor actually have to write a whole new rec? Do they just write something if something weird has happened or something has changed?

Just curious...

They're mostly interested in grades, although if you had major changes in your class schedule, detention or suspension, etc., that would also be pertinent. It's really just a final check to make sure that you kept up with what you stated on your application, didn't have a major drop in grades and didn't have disciplinary problems.

ya it's just about your grades. I wouldn't see why they would need another rec unless there were extenuating circumstances.

Read the top of page 2 of the Final Report.

Also: my school says they do not send out Final Reports to any college (just transcripts) and they have never had a student's admission rescinded because of it....

That seems unlikely, pFNMC, would schools be suspicious? But thanks everyone, I just wanted to be sure that my GC doesn't need to write anything else.

haha...my last post makes no sense. I meant to say, that seems unlikely because schools would be suspicious if one high school NEVER sent out final reports.

yeah that's weird
