Greetings,

I am currently taking financial accounting 230, a 5 unit class, the teacher seems to have unreasonable expectations.

By this I mean the class average on the last test was 55, the highest grade in the class was an 85, I scored an 80. He did not curve the test at all. I have heard of teachers like this at the university level but never at a city college level. To put his grading into a better perspective: He posts overall grades by K-numbers and although I have the 2nd highest grade in the class I am only at 85% with the highest grade at 89%. With about 50% of the class floating in the 60-70% range. It is required we average 90% or better on all tests to get an A on his class as well.

Should I approach him about this? I would "W" out and take a different teacher but he is the only one that fits my work schedule, and on top of that this class is a pre req for the major I am trying to get into.

Seriously stressing out on having a 5 unit B on my GPA. for me its the difference between a 3.8 and a 3.64(I think)
