Financial Aid confusion.

I applied late to Colby for financial aid. Below is the letter I recieved. Do you think I should go there or go to BU where I am being given $16000 or Bard College where I'm getting $20000 as aid.
Dear Radhika:

We have received the letter from your father and your name has been
placed on a grant wait list. As we will not know if additional grant
funds will be available until after the May 1 enrollment deadline
date, you must make your decision to enroll at Colby College without
consideration of financial aid.

Also keep in mind that you reapply for financial aid every year, so
that in two years when your brother would be entering college, we
would take into consideration when determining your eligibility for
financial aid.

Sincerely,

Ask yourself:
Is financial aid essential for you?
Will you be happy attending Bard or BU? 16,000/20,000 = a lot of money.
Definitely sit down and talk with your parents.
Also maybe call Colby and ask them how likely you are to get fin aid (what were the outcomes in the past) and how much.
