ppl , applying for finaid, when you show a bank account, do you show only a present figure, like the present balance, or do you have to show about two years or so of history of transactions.

showing jus the present figure sounds rather absurd coz anyone can tranfer money into an account, or withdraw money from it momentarily and show thts their bank acc.

I'm also applying for fin aid, but I'm not sending any documents from the bank, well except for the certification of finances, where I'm required a signature from somene from the bank to certify that I have a deposit there that could cover the sum I wrote for my future contribution.

suppose a big bad wolf eats half of you up, its a medical emergency possibly not covered by your insurance, so can you get smbody within the states to immidiately transfer cash.

well I'm sending a statement from my paterents' employers....I guess that should be fine...I've asked a Brown undergraduate and he told me he has done the same :)

welll .. i think that some1 shud really hav a talk with a professional like an adcom or a counselor ..
coz we need to get really proper stuff in fin aid forms ..no risk taking there ...

dunno...anyway it's kinda late for me to change anything...I'm sending my app like that...hopefully it'll be ok...if not...this is faith....I guess....

The immediate fund thing is for like very aid needy students.
It means that when you land in US will you have enough money to atleast travel, buy basic things and stuff. (in short you are not supposed to come broke)

speaking to a friend in states. she says its the dough u'll have when you arrive, to get around and stuff. i guess writing abt 1 K should be fine.
