Financial Aid for returning students?

Did any returning students receive their financial packages yet? I called and they told me my package is still being processed!!!

I'm still waiting, also!

I'm still waiting too. Don't the bills come out tomorrow?

I received my financial aid package a couple weeks ago. FA is reviewing appeals this week. If you go to ISIS, you'll see your financial aid award plus the fall billing w/no due date.

The actual bills do go out tomorrow and on Monday ISIS should reflect the due date.

I have not appealing any financial aid awards, haven't received any info as of now from the office. I have checked ISIS, but no info.

I got mine a couple weeks ago as well. I've heard from others that it does sometimes take a while--even after bills come out. Don't worry. Check ISIS. Your info may be under student accounts.

First-year student, but I have a question about ISIS .... on Student Accounts it says negative 14.8k for "billed amounts" and then 17.2k for "new charges," so my "current balance" is 2.3k. Does that 14.8k include loans? And if I just signed up for dining it should be accounted there already, right?

I'm still confused about what billing entails. When is payment due? Also, my 1k/semester external scholarship hasn't shown up yet. Should I call them right now, or are they still processing it? And what if it has slipped by them for some reason? Would there be complications with billing?

You need to direct billing inquiries to the Student Financial Services office, not College Confidential.

Well, I will do that when I can catch them at a good hour I guess. (Yay for summer work!)

But generally, since I haven't gotten anything in the mail about my loans yet (or I haven't yet chosen a lender), I assume that -14.8k financial aid excludes loans? I just want to know what usually happens for other people.

If you received a Federal Perkins Loan, that amount has probably already been applied to your bill. Since this loan is through the government, you do not choose a lender. They will only remove it if/when you return your Aid Change Form telling them to do so if you don't want it. Like Dean J said, the financial aid office can easily answer these questions better than anyone on CC.

However, if you say the Fin Aid office is still processing your package, then none of this may be listed yet. Another call to the Fin Aid office is in order.

Still haven't had time to contact the Office... but I received a letter saying that I had a preliminary award for a Perkins loan -- that is, it hasn't really been "officially on the accounts" yet?
