Checked Gibson a few minutes ago, and when I clicked the financial aid tab a message appeared stating “you must accept terms and conditions.” I got all excited thinking “this is it!” - but still no actual award offer. It does seem that they are putting everything in place in preparation for notification, so hopefully we will all hear something soon! I do feel for you folks waiting to make travel arrangements - I am a nervous wreck, and I’m only a 3 hour car ride away!

I just check mine it lists the scholarship, so I guess they’re in the processing of posting.

Now that I’m looking at it, it states the scholarship is for $37,200, but lists tuition as $38,300…

Not to worry gabby! You are covered, of course. Just a disconnect between the value based on this year’s tuition and what it will be next year. They’ll fix it.

Does look as though they are in the process of posting! Let’s hope for tonight!

When logged into Gibson does everyone have the same travel amount listed under the total cost or is this based on how far you travel? I read somewhere it would be based on the distance you have to travel. My sons is listed as $700.

I guess their travel estimate varies. We live in California and our travel number is $1,000.

So, just to clarify, because all this waiting is making me nervous, is what is posted right now just the scholarship info? Right now, only the Academic Achievement scholarship is listed. Does this mean I won’t be receiving any financial aid or will more be posted later on in the week?

robinism38 - Cannot say if that is the complete package for you personally since we don’t know your EFC, but it does not appear they have posted anyone’s FA other than scholarships yet. The general anticipation seems to be that things will start being posted this week.

That is all that is listed on ours so let’s hope they are going to post more. It doesn’t seem like anyone has any need based aid posted at this time. At least they are starting to post something.

i called up the financial aid office and they said that they havent released any incoming freshman financial aid package. they said we should receive it through gibson in 1-2 weeks :(. they also said that they wouldnt be releasing any packages today, so if you’re like me, you dont need to sit by the computer and keep refreshing the page.

Wow…what happened to March 19? That is the date they were suppose to begin posting financial aid packages. I guess my son can forget Honors Weekend. Glad he was accepted to some other good schools that might actually let us know about financial aid before the May 1st deadline to commit because it is starting to look like it will be close to that date for Tulane.

Thanks for posting blair123, I’ll back away from the computer now…

Okay, thanks! I just wanted to be sure that they weren’t posting need-based packages at this time.

This is ridiculous, especially since I had all my FA documents submitted by January 15 and was accepted in December.

Tulane’s pretty much out of the picture for me right now.

i would say the delay is definitely going to have a significant effect on their yield.

I feel exactly the same way, VF. Tulane was pretty low down on my list, and I was only thinking of going if they gave me good money. I applied EA and it was the first school I received a decision from. But since then, I’ve gotten accepted into schools higher up on my list, and received decent FA from most of them. AND Tulane keep sending annoying emails asking if I’ve made up my mind yet. Stupid Tulane.

I don’t understand why everyone is getting angry at Tulane when many schools haven’t even given decisions yet, let alone financial aid packages. I just got acceptances from UNC and Loyola and haven’t received any word on a financial package. The rest of my schools I wont even get notified of my acceptance/denial until April 1st.

Same dreamer. And gabby, it’s because I got the acceptance months ago. Colleges that I’m hearing back from now already gave me their financial aid awards. I’ve heard back from 5 or 6, and all of them besides Binghamton and Tulane have given me my financial aid award. And I just heard about Binghamton a few days ago.

Tulane’s FA office has had my info for over 2 months now. They have no excuse.

VF12426 - I understand it’s frustrating. I guess since I haven’t received anything from any school, I thought it was more the norm. I applied to 6 schools, I have only gotten acceptance letters from 3 of them so far and, other than Tulane, I have received no financial information. I won’t hear from Emory, Duke, and Vanderbilt until April 1st.
