My minimum amount due still shows $7489.52 but I have financial aid that should cover that. My financial aid page shows that nothing has paid out yet. I have 15 units, and no blocks or holds. Should I be nervous? I emailed financial aid and got an email back that I should expect a response in 3-4 weeks and not to call because multiple requests for info just makes them slower. =/

Your not alone http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/1068456-anyone-receive-their-cal-grants-yet.html

You might be a tad bit nervous. Just because the CAL grant hasn’t paid out, it doesn’t mean that you should have $7000+ left owed. Your Pell grant should’ve brought it down by a bit atleast. In CARS account, you can see what grants have been paid. see if any have been paid this year.

Nothing’s paid out, none of my scholarships, nothing. Last semester it was done by now.

Yup still nothing has paid out for me yet ether, and it’s preventing me from purchasing a student parking permit.

You really should call Financial Aid office. or Visit. You may be in line for a while.

I have recieved all my aid, except for ACG. so definately you need to look into it.

I am really lucky I called. I stayed on the phone for an hour and finally got through to someone and it turns out that since I got an outside scholarship in December and gave Financial Aid the check and filled out a form for outside scholarship that it created an overpayment. And so they had a block on paying out ANYTHING. Not even the outside scholarship was deposited into my account, they just held it. There was no note on my Financial Aid page or anything saying that anything was a problem, so I had no idea about this even though I check my financial aid page all the time. And I didn’t get any notice in the mail or any email. NOTHING. They were just sitting on all my money not paying out anything and not saying anything. All my classes would have been dropped. Now it shows as paid out, but my CARS bill still shows the balance from Jan 12 and seven thousand plus owed even though my scholarships are for more than that. So I’ll call them today.
