Financial Aid Info-Life Scholarship

Hey, I got the University scholars scholarship-worth 2K- and a grant that has already been posted onto my VIP account. Does anyone know when the Life scholarship shows up on VIP? I know I'm eligible for it, but I dunno when I'm supposed to get awarded. Do grants and scholarships come in one by one, or is everything you're going to be awarded show up at once?

If Im remembering correctly, one of S's scholarships didnt show up on VIP until there was an actual bill available, so it could be as late showing up as June/July (after you register at Orientation and after they post the bills).
They dont post bills until after the state budget or something e political like that passes.
My advice is to keep the written correspondence you receive until all aid is verified as posted (LOL I would keep the written correspondence even after that, but that me).

Has anyone received a full financial aid package in the mail? My daughter got the McKissick scholarship letter quite a while ago and I was surprised when we checked her VIP last night that a loan had been added in the last couple of days as well. We are calling today, but it's hard to make a final decision when the financial pieces are trickling in and we have full packages from her other schools.

jc,
My son's Life Scholarships is already posted, but it's listed as "estimated Life Scholarship." I believe it was the first one to show up. Maybe it has something to do with acceptance date. My son was accepted last October, so his info showed up fairly early. However, one of his other scholarships is not yet posted. I called Financial aid and they said that all scholarships should all be posted by the time of the actual bills.

northandsouth,
Financial aid sent us a letter last month that was solely in response to the FAFSA. Then later, scholarship letters came separately. I don't know whether they send one letter with everything listed.

We talked with the financial aid office on Monday and they said that letters were trickling out this week and next. However, they did say that complete aid packages should be showing on VIP this week.

Thanks for the info, guys! I'm still trying to figure out how to get this e-mail account to work so I can sign up for the facebook account. It's saying that you have to be enrolled in classes before you can be assigned a Network username. So, I signed up for English 102, a class I know I have to take first semester. If anything, I'll just drop it.

jc,
How did you manage to sign up for a class? My son's VIP says he's not eligible to register for class until he's advised. Is it possible to go ahead and sign up for things you know you'll have to take? Did the system give you an email?

Hey, greenville. I was getting the same error too at first. When I called, they said it was because I hadn't sent in my immunization records. I finally sent them in about two weeks ago, and was able to sign up for classes a couple days ago. I just went ahead and signed up for the classes I know I have to take, and if the timing doesn't work, I'll change it during orientation.
