Today we received an email reminder to complete our financial aid application that we started three weeks ago then abandoned because we thought why bother, our S does not have a chance at Princeton!
Anyone else received a reminder? Is it a mass mail that went to everyone who did not complete the finaid app? Am I reading too much into it?
It seems to me that they should not bother reminding anybody of anything specialy if the student has not been accepted unless it makes a difference in the numbers they report at the end of the accademic year.

Probably mass-mail. We too got one of those and feel the same way as you do--that Princeton has no business sending our kids emails like this and raising their hopes only to be disappointed in two weeks.

I just figured a mass mailing meant to everyone, not those who were cherry picked as having incomplete files.

I applied ED and my f.a. application was sent in a long time ago. Mom sent in her tax returns and W-2 March 1.

I will say that the 3 schools where I am likely to get accepted have contacted my mom about various things or have called to remind us to send in documentation. The two school were I will be most likely rejected, I haven't heard a thing from their f.a. office (Princeton being one of them).

I was responding to this sentence. Unless all of you have a half-filled unsubmitted financial aid form on the Princeton site, you have nothing to worry about. I thought this was our unique situation since we forgot to complete this FA application, but it seems like for every unique experience you have company on Collegeconfidential. Of course, I am sure none of this has any bearing on the admissions result. So don't worry at all! Good luck to all of you.
