Financial Aid Still Not Released?

Has it been released for anyone? I was under the impression that it was supposed to go out on the 15th but now it's 4 days later and I have a mildly ominous "PAY YOUR BILLS OR YOU GET KICKED OUT ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF THE SEMESTER" message sitting in my to-do list.

The financial aid office put a “do not put a financial hold on this account” notice that apparently lasts till October. I guess it’s a nice gesture since it’s taking so long.

Same here.

And now I have a “Do Not Refund” notice on my account:
Your refund will be delayed due to hold(s) that have been placed on your enrollment or because you have not enrolled in any classes. You must resolve all holds that appear on your Student Center and/or enroll in classes in order for us to process your refund. Please contact the office(s) who placed your hold(s) for further information.

Even though I am enrolled in enough credits to be considered full time.

I hate to pester the financial aid office when I’m sure they’re already getting plenty of calls over this but I guess they’re getting an extra one tomorrow.

I also have the “do not put a financial hold” notice.

Aid package came in yesterday … with my outside scholarship I apparently won’t have to pay anything this year. =)

Ok so has anyone called?
If so what have they told you. Like when are they going to pay off the tuition and give us a refund (that is always welcome by a college student).

This is very annoying, their just holding back on us. LOL

I called and asked about the status of my refund; the woman on the line took my number and said someone from student accounts would call me back.

I haven’t gotten a call back yet…(I called on Thursday afternoon)

Fourth week into the semester, I am still waiting for my refund. Calling the SFS makes you mad because they tell you upfront that you have to hold 30 minutes for a response. And when you do get the rep to talk with you, the rep gives you answers like “we only see what you see in SIS, check SIS regularly” or “we are still processing your financial aid package, and we can’t tell you when everything will be released”.

I spent the money I earned from my summer work on rent and books. But I still have like $1000 in credit card debt that is due by next week.

Doesn’t seem to much to do about it but wait unfortunately.

I found private, emergency loans, and I plan on applying for a Lee Loan tomorrow. I was considering selling my car and that would certainly help tide me over.

I’ve had short wait times, honestly, despite that warning.

I finally got an email notification today saying my refund would be direct deposited into my checking account within 4 business days. Ugh…took long enough.
