Financial Aid Suspension

I attended a CC for my first two years and I was doing pretty well, my GPA was about a 3.4 and I only had 2 C’s rest were B’s and A’s.
I transferred to a University for my third year and I had a lot going on so I wasn’t focused and ended up failing all the classes.
the classes that I failed were Chemistry 1, Biology 2, Genetics and I withdrew from Chemistry lab.
I was put on academic probation.
so I transferred to my CC again and I signed up for three classes which are history, stats and a computer class.
I’m failing the stats course and it’s very late to take a W.
I’m passing history with an A and I started to ignore the online computer class which I had an A in.\

so if I get an A,F,F my GPA will be below a 2.0 and I will get suspended right???

if I get an A in history
a C in computer class and an F in stats I will get a 2.0 but I doubt that will happen?

so my question is if I don’t meet the SAP this semester is my aid gone forever?

Go talk to your GC. We can speculate but each school has their own SAP requirements.

It might be worth talking to your counselor not just for the SAP issue but to get access to resources or tutoring to help you with your college classes. It sounds like you have trouble focusing on your academics and that’s going to be a recurring problem regardless of if the community college allows you to extend your probation (double-secret probation??).

It would be helpful to get those issues straightened out especially since you can actually run out of semesters in which you are allowed to draw on federal financial aid. If you fail, change classes, or change schools you might end up running out of financial aid even if your GPA ends up being pretty good by the end.

Look in your student handbook, it is probably online, and read and understand your college SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) requirements.
