Is it difficult to get large sums of financial aid from BU? With the tuition+room/board+fees it has the amount at over 50,000 per year. I was wondering how easily one attains financial aid from the university

BU is pretty generous. I got $30,500 in scholarships when I applied this year.

SATs: 750 math, 640 writing, 640 reading
SAT 2: 750 math 2, 750 bio mol, 690 chem

My essay was really good and unique, so I think that helped.

Good luck!

Did you look on their website? Good luck!
[Boston University - Office of Financial Assistance - Applying for Financial Aid](http://www.bu.edu/finaid/apply/incoming_probability.html)

BU also has a unique policy of weighting need based aid with academic merit. There’s a chart somewhere on their website with estimates. Basically, if they like you based on academic accomplishments, you often will get more need based grant aid too if you qualify for some.
