100k? what about 50k a year lol like me, lol

Oh, and oops, I shouldn't have said anything as you have yet to receive your acceptance/financial aid letters. ;)

do you want it? gosh...I will stop it here. I don't know if i can attend NYU even if i get accepted lolol you guys might gang up on me lololol i am really not a bad boy i am serious. i am not good at talking and sometimes my jokes are really bad...no intention tho

lol matt but you got like mad money from NYU lol you are rich now, perhaps...wait a min..you get close to 30K from nyu and your house income is around there...lol you will be richer than your parents soon. of course.

i just noticed that admin took my SSW thread away lolol... :(

oh and yea... :( i did not get my letter yet...
if i get some financial aid i will post it here then criticize me.
I have to admit that I did use some ways to get money...but it's legal and totally fine. :)

by the way,...anyone here from Russia or Israel?
If you are, could you tell me which phone card is the cheapest to those countries?
I am spending like $5 everyday for this damn phone card...there is gotta be a cheaper one

KJ - you can get a one cent a minute card from rnktel.com
It's .11 a minute to call to a cell phone but it's still the cheapest

Actually, I just looked around the website and they don't seem to have this phone card anymore.

is it to Israel or Russia? do you mean American cell phones?

to Israel and Russia. No, I mean to call Israeli cell phones because they have a separate area code; it's more expensive to call an Israeli cell phone than a normal Israel phoneline.

oh thank you so much. it's one heck of work when you have a hardcore jewish gf...why can't she leave Israel???

she now lives in Khabarovsk Krai, more specifically Birobidzen

I just had to add...
I totally agree with kiki.

I do not come from an incredibly wealthy family .. in fact my Dad just started up his own business a month ago, which means he has no income whatsoever... And my Mom only works half of the year as a part-time lecturer. So we are living on what my parents saved up, however it is just enough for my college education... Even though I technically could apply for fin aid, there are probably people that need it more than me. I would never want to take that away from them...

If your parents make more than a million a year... it's just not right to apply for aid!

silver, don't worry. Applying for financial aid and actually receiving financial aid are two different things. There are procedures in place where individuals must prove the need before anything is awarded. The FAFSA involves several forms where detailed financial information is required, along with tax returns, receipts, etc. NYU isn't stupid, they're not going to give out financial aid to people whose families earn a high salary. NYU is notoriously very stingy when it comes to aid, even for families who need it, so the chances of a 'rich' family getting it, are very very slim.
