Is it true that nyu's average financial aid package is 20,000?
Cuz this is wat it says in College Board...What r the predictions of the aid a family with a 70,000 income have?

there is some merit aid involved as well.
One of my incredibly bright friends receives 27k+ a year, most of it merit-based

Freekobe you have to be careful, as much of that "aid" could be student loans. I hear Merit Aid is very rare at NYU.

Yeah, IIRC they only give out 400 merit scholarships per year.

There are many more need-based ones though.

I'm so glad that I received $46,000

.. in loans. Sigh.

I hope you're incredibly wealthy... :/

It must appear that way on paper, eh? I'll just have to go sulk about this in one of my 14 mansions across the globe.

hmmm, i got 46,800 covered, but about 13,000 of it is in loans.

NYU's financial aid is in a nice way -- BAD. There only thing you will get is LOANS -- lots of it

Freekobe, my parents make about $70k, and I got a $13k/year CAS scholarship and a $4k/year work-study with another $5k/year in low-interest loans. Then I got a bunch of PLUS loans I don't plan on using.
