Are you automatically denied financial aid if you don't give in the form by the deadline? I just found out today that I had to send it and now I'M really worried.

I doubt it. They know lots of students can't afford it, so as long as you explain what happened, I'd bet they'll be accomidating.

When are all those extra froms due like the W-2 forms?

They were all due January 1 and extended to January 10. Not having sent them MAY jeopardize some of your potential aid.

Wait, are you guys talking about 2003 or 2004 forms? Because I sent my 2003 months ago and got my "expected package" but my parents are still getting this year's together.. Is that a problem?

No, no...those are needed "when available"

Okay, thanks FishS.. Wow I think that was the first time I came close to freaking out like some of the people on here! :p But you know I love you all...

You know we love you too ;)

Feel the LOVE!!!!!!!! :D

would they still accept it if i send mine in now?! i already submitted the PROFILE and fafsa... but not the freshmen finaid app...

Yes, I'm sure they would if only a part of it is missing. Are you talking about that one page cover sheet provided in the application booklet? I didn't send that with my other financial info (CSS profile, FAFSA, tax forms) and Cornell notified me. It wasn't a problem for me, and they computed my financial aid within about 2 weeks.

You should definitely send it. It says on their website that sending it late *might" affect the aid you recieve.
