How excatly does federal financial aid work if a student is applying for transfer spring admission? I submitted the FAFSA for my school this year, and I am subsequently receiving a significant amount of federal aid (0 EFC). Does that aid transfer over to whatever school I transfer to, or do I have to reapply? Any help would be great. Thanks.

You don't keep the awards. Your new college will grant you an award package.

You don't have to reapply if you included the college you're transferring on the list to receive your FAFSA. If you did not, you can add them through FAFSA's website. I would suggest you add the schools as soon as you decide to apply to them. The turnaround in the fall admissions process is very short. You want to get into their system early.
