Financial aid!!!

Have you tried to bargain? Hm, I guess bargaining doesn’t work…?

I just sent in my Cornell application for aid today. Would they be able to send me my package soon or would it take about 2-3 weeks? The only deciding factor right now for whether I attend or not is the money.

^I’m in the same situation :/

^Blueducky!! You’re gonna be a senior member SOON!!! (I think?)

Anyway, I’ve found Cornell to be the CHEAPEST school. So, I wish you luck!

anyone not receive their aid package yet and submitted a long time ago?

MEE ME ME!! i haven’t gotten my FA packet yet, and I had everything in by their deadline. this is making me nervous!!

modulation- we’re getting close too! I feel like ive been trapped in the 900s forever

mannnnnn. the finaid package wasnt so good… it’s 3/4 loans. ):

What were your stats? :/

I got my package tuesday and it’s amazing!! 36.4K Cornell grants, 4K traditions fellow scholarship, 1.8K work study, 3.8K federal pell grant, ~4.2K federal supplemental grant. Student contribution=2.3K… this is unbelievable!! this makes cornell a no-brainer.
i love being poor.

I apparently don’t qualify for ANY aid even though my family has been living off our savings for the past year and a half since my mom lost her job and my dad is disabled. And it doesn’t help my sister is in college too :frowning: Doesn’t look like Cornell is gonna be possible for me even though its my top choice and I’ve been dreaming about it since freshman year…

bump! fsdd

I’m appealing like crazy right now, hopefully this works…Cornell didn’t even give me any of the federal subsidized loans, which every other school gave me…

this doesnt sound right…maybe there are untouched assets cornell is considering…

you might have to defer for a year until you get poorer :(

appealing like crazy also!! will they consider crazy expensive special cricumstances…like house falling down the canyon??

I think they would consider outstanding circumstances like the one you have, yes.

But I think the bigger question is what municipality ever allowed somebody to build a structure so close to an unstable geographic feature in the first place…

hey does it matter if there are slight discrepancies between my fafsa and css profile in order to get my css profile in a little early we estimated a lot of the values as instructed in the profile and when we got our taxes done to do the fafsa it turned out a lot of numbers were similar but different such as the income tax paid and gross income i have already had my fafsa processed and my etc was something like $1,200 (single parent under 40,000) but im worried that i will mess my aid up with these discrepancies

also i turned in the bulk of my aid package in late march im missing my 2007 taxes and verification work sheet i should turn those things in tomorrow so when should i expect my package and should i with making under 40,000 still get a good package with it being late ( i was pretty sure i wouldn’t get in so i put off fin aid for a while) also i am a urm and i hear that helps with fin aid packages

PLEASE HELP IM DESPERATE

the css profile/fafsa discrepencies shoudlnt matter i dont think, because the CSS is expected to be estimated. the fafsa is what confirms the information in the css.

thanks dude anyone have an answer to my second question also when does the verification worksheet have to be turned in it says on the application status site that its due in 2010

the verification worksheet has to be in ASAP
