<p>So I logged into Albert and clicked on "current activity" under the Bursar section and some interesting charges popped up. Here's what it says:</p>
<p>Fall 2009 07/03/2009 Housing - Estimated Charge $ 6,743.00<br>
Fall 2009 07/03/2009 Hsg - Fall 14 Meal Plan $ 1,925.00 </p>
<p>I applied to 3rd North as my top choice and the approximate charge for 3rd on the NYU housing page is $13,108 for the fall 09-10 year. The charge on my bill comes to $13,486 when doubled, which is pretty darn close. So can I safely assume I got 3rd?</p>
<p>no… i know for certain thanks to explorations that i will be living in the 12th street hall, but my charge is exactly the same. apparently everyone has the same charge right now until housing decisions are finalized.</p>
<p>Yea that’s the default setting for all of them, they are later adjusted.</p>

<p>3rd North is the largest freshmen dorm, so it seems the odds are in your favor. 
Did you apply with a roommate? That would probably increase your chances too(I would think).</p>

<p>Try to relax, though, obviously everyone isn’t going to get their first or second choice. Really, there’s no dorm that’s hugely better or worse than the other ones unless you’re dead set on having a kitchen.</p>
<p>i have the same exact charge nasty nate. haha. the anticipation of finding out what dorm im in is KILLING me. i want to knowwwww. i wish they didnt have to take so longg</p>
