<p>My son has paid the acceptance fee and filled out the housing application, paid that fee. As of right now he does not know anyone going to UA to room with. What is the next step in finding and connecting with possible roommates? Thanks!</p>
<p>There is a “University of Alabama Class of 2019” group on Facebook. Request membership to the group and find out who the other members are. </p>
<p>He can also search through the housing application for students that have already applied as well.</p>
<p>My son is waiting on his Honors College app. (for Honors College dorm) but agree with NoVA above - he has been all over the facebook class group and may already have roomies picked out. </p>
<p>This is the same route the son of a friend of ours took and he’s very happy in his first semester.</p>
<p>JackDrummer, you do not need to be accepted to Honors College before you apply for housing. Once your Honors College status changes, it automatically updates in our system. </p>
<p>Your student will not be selecting a space in the application, only letting us know he will be coming and begin finding roommates through our roommate search. As long as your Honors College acceptance has been processed prior to the beginning of Freshmen Room Selection (in May), your student will be able to see Honors spaces to select from.</p>
