<p>As someone who has just finished their first semester as a college freshmen, I can honestly say that it has been quite a ride. The first month was extremely hard for me, since this was my first experience in being away from my family for an extended period of time. As soon as my schedule picked up and I became involved in clubs and extracurricular activities, I had less time to focus on how sad I was about being away from home, which helped me to have an overall more enjoyable experience. Although it was difficult for me to make this transition and at times I felt like I wanted to quit, I am glad that I pushed through it and I can ultimately say that I am happy with my college decision.
