First Semester of Senior Year?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if colleges and universities will look at the grades you obtain during the first semester of your senior year. I was hoping that I would be able to utilize the first semester to elevate my GPA before sending out all of my applications. My college list is comprised of:

Santa Clara University

Boston College

Boston University

University of Chicago

George Washington University

New York University

UC San Diego

University of Southern California

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

UC Davis

University of Washington

Columbia University

Thank you so much for helping me out everyone!! :)

Yes, they do. Also, the college you choose to matriculate into will ask for your second semester grades as well. If you do poorly in the second semester, they have the right to rescind your acceptance.

I do not know about Santa Clara; as to others: UCs, UIUC, UWash, use grades through junior year to determine admission and do not use first semester senior grades. BC, BU, UChicago, NYU, GWU, Columbia,USC will use them for regular admission after you submit mid-year report, to the extent any of those have early action or early decision, they don’t use them for those early decisions (note, USC has no early program).
