First Semester Senior Grades: What if I Get 1 B?

Okay, basically, I just bombed my AP Calculus test and I do not think that I can get an A in this class at this point. This would be my first B in 2 years. I am currently taking 5 APs: AP English Lit, AP Spanish, AP U.S. Government, AP Art History, and AP Calculus. My intended major is a social science. I know the importance of senior year grades to private colleges. I do believe that this would be my only B, leaving my GPA at 4.83 w and 3.83 uw for this semester.

Would this reflect badly on admissions for top liberal arts colleges (ex: the Claremont Colleges) and other top private institutions, such as Cornell’s ILR school?

Thank you for your help and sorry if I seem a little melodramatic. The college admissions process is terrifying.

any help is appreciated

Take a breath. If you don’t get in (hopefully you will), it certainly won’t be because of one B senior year, especially with such a difficult schedule.

Relax - small mistakes like this are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

1 B will not jeopardize your chances.

It will have 0 impact on your chances. Don’t worry about it.
