@niffler for students who live in the U.S. to get an email you would have to request it after the decision date over the phone. If you request through email, they will say decisions are still going out. They will send the same letter that would come in the mail if it’s acceptance or rejection. What I noticed since I applied three other times. One of which I was waitlisted, is that acceptance and waitlist go out first. So all of which should go out before and be received before December 7th. There might be a few people who get acceptance after, but that’s due to mailing time. Few will get waitlisted letters a little later, but very few. If you don’t hear anything by December 9th, most likely you were rejected. I noticed from everytime that I applied that FIT is strict by their decision date, when they say they will be out by December 1st they will be or within a few days after. Only one time they were late and that’s because they had a problem with their system or something. But for right now, it can go either way. They are probably still making a few decisions. They tend to make decisions up until the last minute which is easy to understand they have about 3-6 people look over your application before making a decision so it does time. I think we should start getting something between the 28th and the 1st of next week. Letters usually start to go out within 2-3 days of the first with the most letter be received on or the day before. When I received my waitlist letter about a year and a half ago it was dated the day before, and I live about 5 hours from FIT.
@silverquotes yes. Looks like we all gotta wait until after the Thanksgiving holidays. I am intl’ student but living in US, most of the intl applicants got the emails today and I was so worried that I didn’t hear anything from them. I was hoping that we’d hear something before the holidays and that I can stop worrying about it.
@niffler, I think it’s a little different for international students who are already living in the US since they don’t have to do the same process of getting over here as a regular international student, so you should hear about the same as a domestic student.
@silverquotes I hope so too.
