Fitting in at Ole Miss

Hello everyone! So I am a senior in high school and have been wait listed by Ole Miss, but should be getting the official answer anytime soon. If I get accepted into this school I will most likely commit, but I have a few questions first. So I am from Connecticut, and I am worried it will be hard for me to fit in at Ole Miss. Although, my father is from Texas and I have southern roots in Texas, Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee, and I am very proud of these roots and have wanted to go down south my entire life. I visited Ole Miss in the Spring last year and really liked it. I also hear that Greek life is huge and it is really the only way to fit in. Is this true? So what is it like at Ole Miss and how does one fit in?

you will love it. The out of state population is about 45%. We are from Ohio and my son is a junior and pledged a house freshman year. His best friends are from Boston, St Louis, Boca Raton, Little Rock and San Francisco. Greek life is big but you will still have a great time if you don’t pledge. The town is awesome and everyone is friendly.

I think you would fit in! I also got waitlisted and was wondering what your scores and gpa were Bc I’m so nervous!

I’m also wait listed with a 2.89 GPA and a 19 ACT score out of state, hby?
