So I meet the requirements for the Florida Academic Scholars 100% scholarship, and it says that if I attend a 4 year institution it pays $103 per semester hour. The University of Florida says that their current tuition is $212.71 per credit hour, if I take a class that is 3 credit hours, or $638.13, then BF would pay $309 for the class right? Thank you to whoever responds! :x
Yes, but you can’t take just one class, you have to be a full time student, taking at least 12 credit hours to qualify for BF. Most of the Florida schools charge the same tuition for 12 credits as 18, but BF will pay per credit. Say your semester tuition is $2556 (12x $213/cr) and you take 15 credits. BF will pay $1545. However, if you only take 12 credits, your tuition will still be $2556 and BF will only pay $1236.
If you register for 18 credits and receive $1854 in BF funds, but then drop a 3 credit class or even 6 credits, you have to repay BF.
