I guess its better to put it in here rather than what my chances are. But yeah, my question is, other than U miami and U florida, are fl schools easy to get into? (FSU, UCF, ect.) I also have a 90 average. Which is a 3.0 or 3.4 depending where you go to school.

Anybody????

Is this an easy yes and i just dont know? Is anyone taking me seriously or what? Can someone answer me?

generally, they're not as easy out of state, but FSU, UCF, USF, are not very difficutlt either. It is hard to judge your chances without sat scores. GPA and SAT's are basically the only factors if high enough.

A 90 average is an A- therefore a 3.6-3.7

I would never apply to Florida International University because they sent me an e-mail and it made me laugh.....

AT FIU

...you will succeed......
...you will gett all tof this and more at an affordable price...

(exact typing)

Not necessarily a bad school, but that typo just made me laugh too hard.

UCF and USF are going to be easier to get into than FSU. However, I think UCF is much nicer than FSU.

If you want to go to a florida school, I'd say apply and find out. Why you would want to come here is beyond me. I'm getting out of here.

I got into FGCU honors program out of state without any problems, and they have also offered me scholarship money. I've heard that FSU is fairly easy as well.

Klf, florida looks way better than nj. thats jus me. Id kinda miss my winters though so im not sure.

If you're looking for a public LAC in Florida don't forget New College of Florida. It's a great school with great merit money availible!

"Klf, florida looks way better than nj. thats jus me. Id kinda miss my winters though so im not sure."
I'm from Jersey and living in Florida now. I miss it.

I'm not sure about people from out of state, but I heard that UCF and USF are easier to get into than the others.

Btw, im mainly thinking of fsu and ucf...but squareone....what part of jersey are you from or what county rather?

Isn't UCF more of a commuter (suitcase) school?

^ It used to be, but it's changing.

It's really booming as far as the number of students going there, so it's really expanding. They are even slated to build a hospital and initiate a medicial school program.

Tor, in my opinion, Orlando is much nicer than Tallahassee is. It's so blah up there. Many of my friends are going to UCF and they have nothing but great things to say about it. I must say, the UCF campus is really nice.

FSU is really nothing but a party school. It's sort of looked at as a joke school by many people here in the state. Sure, many people like it and go there, but it doesn't hold very much prestige.

Where ever you end up applying, Good Luck! If you really want to come down here, go for it, but as a real honest answer, I'd look elsewhere. Florida isn't as great as it seems once your here for awhile. It gets old really fast.

Well klf, I'm not really the party type so i guess id have to eliminate that choice. But thanks for your advice and wishing me luck!

so, for an out-of-state average NE student looking to go to a good-sized Florida school, would anyone please rank UF, FSU, USF and UCF as far as non-commuter atmosphere? based on campus life/activity - because I was under the impression that USF was "better" (less suitcase) than UCF....
Thank you.
(I know UF and FSU are harder to get into)
