So I was deferred from the early admissions for Fall 2013. I was wondering what my chances are of getting accepted. I have all honors and dual enrollment with an AP course as well. I will have 32 college credits by the end of my senior year. I have Straight A's in everything. I have a 1040 SAT total but I plan to retake it and score higher. I will send letters of recommendation as well. I participate in many clubs and have around 100 community service hours. FSU is my top choice but I'm not sure ill be accepted :/ so what are my chances of getting in?

I honestly believe you’re low S a T score is what is holding you back try your best and try to improve it by at least 200 points good luck

I know that’s why I’m going to retake them in hopes of meeting the requirements. But thanks!

Dual Enrollment, 1 AP and you have straight As in everything?

There’s something else. Either you don’t have the minimum 500 SAT score in each section, or you have a semester grade of a D or F or something. Your SAT score is low but as long as it met the minimum requirements, you have a decent profile overall.

I’ve never had a D or F EVER! My last semester I had a 4.0 GPA and a 4.0 in college with my dual enrollment courses. I do believe it’s my SAt scores. Do you think letters of recommendation would help?

FSU does not factor letters of recommendation into your application process. I would not waste my time.

What were your SAT scores on each section?

I know they don’t but I was told to do it anyways. It wouldn’t hurt right? But I don’t remember them precisely but I think M:530 R:510 W:500 I plan go get around 600’s on each section after retakes.

It wouldn’t hurt, but it would be completely pointless. If they don’t consider them, don’t waste your time. Letters of recommendation will not make any impact on your application or their decision.

I wish you luck on re-taking the SAT.
