Daughter was accepted. We were shocked. She applied January 3rd. Environmental Engineering

if still nothing appeared for financial aid should I call or what

@12345hii - I just noticed on one of the forms it mentions this about financial aid:

“To view your financial aid information, you must first claim your permanent FSUID (as outlined above), then you can log in through your myFSU Portal.”

I did that @Scholar2023

Apost12 I would call. Your stats should be good enough for at least summer
If the gpa was lower than summer of you filled out resume and did essays and was at least or close to a 3.8 I would talk with them about it

Admitted - OOS - 1420 SAT - not sure what his FSU GPA was. 3.93 HS. Doesn’t appear he got any kind of scholarship. We were hoping for something (especially OOS waiver). May have to explore FYA (Freshman Year Abroad) to see if that makes it affordable.

Is there a way we can check the FSU GPA? My son accepted. 34 ACT. 3.90 gpa (I think). No scholarship. Do they only give freshman OOS waiver? Or do they give amount in between?

@scholar2023 , where do you see the OOS waiver ?

He was offered summer term as a start date, which I wasn’t too thrilled about until I saw that Florida requires 9 hours of summer credit- thoughts on starting in summer vs. traditional fall start?

Accepted Fall 2019
Unweighted GPA: 3.67
SAT: 1450
Extracurriculars: 90 hours of community service

PsychoDad10, I have friends who are great proponents of starting in the summer because the kids get to acclimate themselves to the campus and college life without the crush and chaos of a million other kids arriving at the same time. It is a kinder, gentler introduction to college. The 9 required summer credits can also be taken online, however, so summer on campus is not ultimately a requirement. My daughter refuses to give up her last free summer before starting college, so it was not an option for us.

@lightshock23 -

Mine is at the bottom of the decision letter. I had to click the link to the decision letter and then the below was at the bottom left of the letter. The “Scholarship Letter” was a link to another doc.
