OK - not sure. I haven’t claimed my ID yet. Was going to do it tomorrow. Give them a call if any questions.
@scholar2023, thanks, All the best . I dont see that . maybe no scholarship for me.
Daughter was accepted with full oos waiver. No freshman scholarship for out of state students again this year even though their website indicates all accepted freshman students would be considered. Not happy about the deception since this policy has been in place internally for a year and yet their website mentions no residency restrictions, only gpa and test scores.
@Artful4art - My D is OOS and got Freshman scholarship, but no OOS waiver.
(4.0 FSU gpa and 33 ACT) OOS waiver more valuable, no?
@nhpm510 I was just told over the phone by admissions that the freshman scholarship was not available to oos students. I asked if this was true for all oos and she said yes. There was a post about it in last years thread about this same topic. My daughter’s FSU wgpa was above 4.5 with a 1480 sat. If your daughter did receive the freshman scholarship, she would be eligible for the presidential scholarship and an oos waiver according to the website. I was told my daughter would never qualify for the freshman scholarship even if she received the presidential award. So your award would be greater if she receives the presidential scholarship, because it would come with the waiver.
I did. Said that was that. I’m shocked… has anyone gotten Seminole Pathways with a 3.8 GPA and 34 ACT?
Same issue here… I’m OOS from PA and had a 1420 SAT and a 4.0 GPA. I was offered pathways and I’m beyond shocked as FSU was my top school. I emailed admissions because I should have gotten at least summer. I guess it won’t do anything
What’s the difference of summer pathways etc?
Denied.
OOS Son, 3.4 GPA, 29 ACT.
Had brain surgery freshman year of HS that affected grades and he wasn’t able to increase course rigor until Junior & Senior years. Wrote about it in his essay…no love
He has been accepted to some other great schools, but waiting to hear from UF, Clemson and UGA. All long shots, but perhaps with a holistic approach and consideration for his medical issues, he might get lucky.
I can’t wait for the next 2 weeks to be over!!
Congrats to all accepted!
Regarding Pathway, not sure if it will be the same this year, but we knew quite a few last year who were offered pathway, then, as other accepted students declined enrollment, the Pathway students were ultimately offered FSU admission. Not everyone, but this did happen to quite a few of the kids we knew who accepted the Pathway option. Hopefully they do the same this year. Only issue is you have to wait quite a while to find out.
TV2000 and psu99… Thank goodness you have options because you should have both been shoo ins. It is absolutely impossible to figure out why they say yes or no. My daughter had SAT 1300, gpa 3.8 weighted and got in to summer, so go figure. Unless instate have advantages/priority.
Confused here(OOS) is the summer, admittance or a trial. Or is it that FSU makes all incoming freshman take summer classes?
Denied

Were hoping for Seminole Pathways, but no dice !
We are OOS and my daughter did summer and it was THE BEST DECISION! The campus wasn’t crowded and she was able to make friends easily. The only downside is that I’ll you need to check your studebt’s graduation date. My daughter graduated on a Friday and started summer session a week later. In addition, they are required to take 9 summer credits anyhow, so you can get them over with sooner than later. They then have about 2 or 3 weeks in between summer and fall session. We rented s storage unit and our daughter flew home for those weeks. Best of luck with your decision.

Virginiachick- how many credits did your daughter take during the summer? Is there a minimum or max allowed by the school?
My daughter took 6 credits. Some took 9. I didn’t want her to be overwhelmed. I am not sure if there is a minimum or a max but as far as I know must students took 6 or 9. It’s a great start to only take 2 classes.
BigHerms - if you are admitted for summer, you are admitted to FSU. They just want you to start summer term rather than fall. Not a trial - you are an accepted student.
Can anyone give me info on the best pathway option to take for an OOS student?
Son accepted for summer admission. Weighted 4.0031. ACT 26. Needless to say, we are shocked. He had a great essay, 150 volunteer hours and a lot of extra curricular activites. He applied 10/01. Not sure if applying early helped? But - still pleasantly shocked as he (and myself) were not expecting it. Haven’t even toured yet! He was set on USF until yesterday…sigh. Decisions!! Congrats to all…They will all end up where they are meant to be for sure!
