Hey,

Does anyone know of where I can get cheap tickets to fly down for BullDog Days? I'm flying in from either Buffalo or Toronto.

Hey,

Does anyone know of where I can get cheap tickets to fly down for BullDog Days? I'm flying in from either Buffalo or Toronto.

I would just surf the net at Expedia.com, cheaptickets.com, orbitz.com.....theyre probably your best bet.

thx .

I believe, from prior posts, that both Delta and US Air fly in to New Haven. You could check their web sites and save the ticketing fee.

you could also try priceline.com for some comparison prices to the sites already suggested. If you bid a ridiculously low price, you probably won't get it, but they'll show you the next lowest price (and you won't be bound to buying the ticket.)

also, try flying into bradley international (hartford) and taking a airport van. Tweed airport in new haven is small and it is probably more expensive to fly to than bradley.

The thing about Tweed is that they have very few flights. It's really hard to get on one during the high travel times, like Bulldog Days or parent weekends.

tweed airport sucks

I think theres a flight from JFK or LGA to tweed

A lot of people like to fly into New York (or Newark) and take the train from Grand Central Station up to New Haven (something like $20), so have that in the back of your mind as another idea. Flights to New York are much cheaper than flights to New Haven (and trains are the way Harry Potter gets to his Yale-like academy).

When I looked at tickets, one to New Haven was only $20 more expensive than a similar flight to Hartford, so I'd actually save since I wouldn't have to buy shuttle tickets.

The price compared to New York can often be significant though, and NYC is only an hour and a half from New Haven via Grand Central Station.

Hmm. I checked La Guardia and JFK and both were more expensive. But maybe it's just the dates and where I'm leaving from.

My mom is coming with me (yeah, I know, bleh...), so I think we're flying into Hartford and renting a car.

jet blue does hartford----super cheap from lots of places

oops---sry---meant southwst...jet blue into jfk, on my mind for $95 fares to Salt Lake skiing!

Just wondering, are you guys going to the diversity dinner?

thanks for all the information.

I'm going to the diversity dinner! more time to spend at Yale, I figure. Is everyone invited?

I'm flying down on Sunday since it's the most convenient (If I tried to get there on Monday, I'd have to leave at like, five to get to Yale by noon), but the diversity dinner thing sounds kinda lame. I'm gonna call and ask if I can sign in on Sunday but skip the dinner and just hang out.
