each 'essay' is technically only a paragraph, though.</p>

<p>Well in the application, where it says "Tell us why you are interested in FOCUS", it has a help button. The help info for the essay says, and I quote </p>
<p>"Please write one to two paragraphs about your ranked FOCUS Program preferences.
Discuss why you consider the FOCUS Program a good match for you and your academic goals. Why you have chosen these particular programs (i.e. "I chose Forging Social Ideals as my first choice program because...")? Is there a particular interest that leads to your program preferences (i.e. "I am interested in genomics because...")?"</p>
<p>So are you saying that it is 1-2 paragraphs per program? Ugh....I must have misinterpreted what they were indicating......I submitted my application yesterday...man....</p>
