folded

the form for teacher rec that will be submitted offline says do not fold, so does that mean we have to send them in 9x12 envelopes?

Might as well. I'm not familiar with this rule, but it's probably to make it easier for the admissions office to scan them in.

yep. big envelope

uh....whoops.

I hope they don't mind the normal-sized envelopes....:P

yeah same limetime, I totally didn't see this, where did you see it? i got like 9x6 brown envelopes so it's only folded once, but oh well :/

^ Its at the top of all the teacher recs and secondary school forms. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though. I'm sure like 75% of the forms come in folded anyway. Plus half the time the teachers/counselors send the forms themselves, and I don't think Columbia would reject anyone on the sole basis that their forms were folded

I really doubt that any one gives any significance to this. I mean, my school made a big deal about it and forced me to use the really big envelopes but I don't think any one really cares.
