Food that gives you Wings

You've heard it all before- you are what you eat. Im sure everyone-at some point in their life- were told to eat a big breakfast on the day of a big test. Is There really a correlation between academic success and eating healthy? Its obvious that humans can't function without food, but is there a certain type of food that invigorates you and keeps you awake during the day?

PS: Sleep is obviously the deciding factor of whether you can stay awake throughout the day, we can always create a poll for that. Though im sure everyone knows 8 hours is the minimum. Besides, who wants to talk about sleep, thats boring!

So what do you guys eat? Feel free to share your diet =D

I guess ill start .

I ate alot of fast food(wendys) in my freshmen year because my lunch period was ridiculously short and Wendy's was right across the street from my H.S. However, i feel like crap throughout the day and after eating double cheeseburgers for weeks, i found my self super-sizing my orders... I wonder why. In my sophomore years i began to eat at subways, and i loved it. The price was relatively cheap and the sandwiches are packed with nutrients! I definitely found my self more active after school and more alert during tests. I've also tried redbull during my precalc math regents... IT TASTES LIKE CRAP AND IS definitely NOT a thirst quencher. I was madly sipping away at the thing, wasting precious time! My cheery grandfather loves the drink though, so i guess it does work if you drink 3 cans of RB a day.

My AP World History teacher last year stressed that we don't eat a big breakfast [he claimed that doing so would make our bodies focus more energy on digestion and less on...thinking]. I imagine a big breakfast might be uncomfortable, too. He suggested smoothies, but those things can be pretty heavy. I just say eat a good breakfast [not-too-sugary cereal and milk + a piece of freat] and a moderately healthy lunch [like a sandwich that isn't fried] :)

I got a 2300 and 35 and 6 sat2s 740+

I ate a pack of gushers the morning of test day. As for sleep... I tend to cram til 1 or 2 the night before lol, but I'm just used to that

I eat pretty healthily usually... I run all year long so that has a lot to do with my lifestyle

^ lmao... true... gushers rule

I eat fruit, cereal, yogurt, and the occasional junk dessert throughout the day (as opposed to three actual sitdown meals).

Hell I hardly ever eat breakfast. I seem to be just fine all day. I usually don't even eat lunch until 2 or 3 in the afternoon either.
