FOOT Program

The information, including the application, for the 2005 FOOT program is now on the Yale web site. For you current Yalies, or parents of current Yalies, is there any point in getting the application completed and in to Yale now, or should the incoming class members just wait until they receive the package in the mail.

mind explaining a little bit about the program? sounds interesting! :D

Freshman Outdoor Orientation Trips - FOOT

web site is www.yale.edu/yalecollege/freshmen/preorientation/foot.html.

Let me assure you that the trip is a wonderful way to start your Yale experience. The friends you make on foot will become a web of friends of friends throughout your four years. The leaders are a bit crazy but fun and very well trained. Don't pass it up!

Hey-

The best website is www.yale.edu/foot.
It's an awesome program (check my post from a few days ago for more info), and I would recommend it to everyone, regardless of skill level. I knew nothing about the woods and had a fabulous experience, so much so that I have trained up (pretty extensively) and now lead trips myself on FOOT.
As for the app, there's no advantage to having it in earlier but no disadvantage either. You need to get a phsyical, so it's good to schedule that now with your doctor as they can become pretty crunched later in the year.
