New freshman upset about friends getting ticket to 1st game and not himself. What are the options at USC? He's asking around as well. If he bought one in the non student section is it possible to sit w/students ??

Not sure of schedule. Has he tried on demand period already? Lots of local kids go to stadium and try and buy tickets in parking lot, but that’s not going to have you sitting with students. Students that have tickets and decide not to go have to turn them back in and can do it up until game time. I’m not sure if that means if you keep checking back on the on-demand system that more tickets might show up. Might be worth a call.

Even some sophomores don’t get tickets to high demand games. I think last year for at least one high demand game they had a big screen in RH for students that couldn’t get tickets…I know it’s not the same but he’s not the only one.

Only students allowed in student sections are ones with lower deck student tickets.

Yeah, if it makes you feel better, my S’s a sophomore and he didn’t get one either- 5 loyalty points. I was surprised but afterwards, he realized he’s in class during the game so it probably worked out for the best.

I remember at orientation, they said everyone who wants a ticket usually gets one… my d is a freshman and got one for tomorrow night. She has 8 points though.

^^That’s a bit of a stretch, but I do think everyone who wants to attend ball games usually get tickets at some point in the season. But for high demand games, freshmen (especially those with minimum points) and even some sophomores can lose out. D didn’t try to go all games as freshman, but did get tickets to the ones she wanted. A couple of times that meant getting them in the on-demand period. However, she had sophomore points because of AP credit hours. She didn’t care enough her freshman year to do all the stuff to get extra points. Of course, the team is now on more of a roll than 4 years ago, so tickets are in higher demand.

If you do really care, then keep up with all opportunities to boost points like going early and attending other qualifying sports events.

Ticketing FB page did mention that returned tickets would be available on on-demand, so it might be worth checking every so often today - might get lucky.
