For all the juniors out there: what an ivy bound kid summer before senior year

I see all the posts about kids trying to "find" something to do in the summer. Here's what I did last summer:

absolutely nothing but relaxed.... I got into Duke, Columbia, UPenn

I spent my whole summer sleeping 12 hours a day, lifting, running, doing reading, hanging out with friends, partying, and just living it up.

don't get all bent out of shape kids. I remember last year around this time, I read CC and I went "OMG OMG I have to do something significant in the summer...."

Then I came back to earth and just took the summer for myself. Don't sacrifice an awesome summer because you think it'll make you look better and impress a school. It's not worth it and unless you enjoy what you're doing (DONT LIE TO YOURSELF), you are losing out on a lot of good times. These summers won't last forever and they're pretty awesome.

good luck and keep your sanity

Thanks. That's very nice of you.

i'm going to bump this because I think everyone reads this, nods their head, and moves on with closed eyes
