For an economics or math major

Which school do you think would be better, UC Davis or Cal Poly SLO?

I had already sent in my SIR to Cal Poly, but was recently accepted into Davis through an appeal, and now I’m unsure whether or not I should use this opportunity to go to Davis or just stick with my original plan at Cal Poly.

Cal Poly is huge on engineering and agriculture and the rest of their majors seem a bit “pushed to the side” almost, but that’s only mere speculation.

For those of you who attend UC Davis or anyone planning on attending, or just anyone who thinks has an answer to my question, which school do you think is better regarding economics and/or math?

Thanks :)

Which school do you like better?

They both have their pros and cons. I'll be visiting Davis this weekend just to check it out.

Whatsup, where are you from?

Sacramento area :)

Econ program is nothing special at all, if you are looking to do business. You will have same opportunities as a State School (I know this first hand); ex: CSU Stanislaus. That is why I am transferring out.

Actually, there is one advantage to the Econ program, and that is that they have a 5-year masters program.

fooshy

oh I did not know that. Thanks fooshy
