@ appleseeds

That doesn’t mean you got rejected.

Kyle we have not heard either…In state…

i got my acceptence letter march 2nd, and im an in state student

Keep the faith…my daughter, in state, rec’d acceptance in the mail today.

i just received my acceptance letter to Bing SOM. i was checking this deposit thing last night :D.

I’m pretty sure SOM was the only school to send out letters a few days ago, unless someone who isn’t a business major can prove this to be incorrect…

I applied for the Watson school and have yet to hear. I can’t login into my Deposit but can log into BU Brain and I have an aid tab.

I got a letter today and I am accepted to SOM but letter does not say what my major is.
I applied for accounting major but I cannot find anything about accounting. Does anyone know how to find out?

If the letter reads something along the lines of:

… then that likely means you were accepted for accounting. In order to be accepted into a professional (i.e., not Harpur) school at Bingamton, you needed to declare a major within that school. If you believe you may have chosen a different major within SOM by mistake, you should immediately call Admissions at 607.777.2171.

CONGRATULATIONS!

In-State from LI and have yet to receive a letter/email yet I can log in to check my deposit. Bing is my safety school so I’m pretty confident that I got accepted. I guess I have to wait until Monday. My friend is an International Student and got his acceptance letter in the beginning of march so this kinda sucks.

i was supposed to apply for SOM, somehow I wasn’t thinking attend binghamton and I filled my application randomly…****… now got accepted from SOM, any chance I can alter my application?

Thanks everyone for letting me know that they recently couldn’t log in to pay the deposit but now could, it gives me some hope.

i submitted my application in Jan.And I guess I’ve got accepted cause I can log in to pay my deposit. But when I try to make a payment, I realized it says it’s not available for 2010 fall. However, the reason I knew I got accepted is a couple days ago I wasn’t able to log in to pay my deposit, last week I tried again, it worked.

@ BingAmbassador
Do I declare for my major after Sophomore year? or Just in Freshman year?
I checked my app. and there was no error in my app.
Sorry for bother

In order to be entered into a “professional” school at Binghamton (Watson, CCPA, SOM, DSN), you need to have declared a major offered only within that school. For example, if you selected Accounting, you’d be considered for SOM.

Different schools have different policies regarding declaration of major. For many majors, it will indicate "Interest in [major name]" until you formally declare it at the school’s appropriate advising office. For the most specific information, you’d need to contact your school’s (SOM) advising office.

Just wanted to share,
I previously said that I could submit my deposit for SOM, etc.
However, yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying I had been rejected.
Therefore, anyone who thought this was a definite indication of knowing shouldn’t get their hopes out quite yet.

My rejection stats:
29 ACTs
1260 SATs
7 APs
93 unweighted average
6 ECs and tons of Church/youthgroup
2 missions trips to other countries
^^i’d say they’re very very selective.

Wow, that’s interesting lillyzipper. I’m sorry about your rejection, but thanks for sharing. It tells me that I am not eligible to pay, but I have yet to receive my letter. I guess that I still have a chance.

lillyzipper, I am sorry for your rejection. What major did u apply for?

Also interesting. I am not able to pay for my deposit but that still gives me hope.

Anyone else eligible to pay yet didn’t get in? It says for me that I’m eligible to pay, so I’m really nervous.
